Recommended by my vet, easy to use

We adopted our puppy from a rescue organization that had no idea what breed mix she was. Everyone had their guesses so we decided to buy a doggie DNA test. Our vet recommended this brand and another one for most accurate results. Instructions are incredibly easy and the swab process was quick. Just send the swabs back in their prepackaged mailer. Can’t wait to get our results in a few weeks and see if we were close on breed guesses. I’ll update after we get them back to see if the price is worth the results! Purely based on ease of use, I’d recommend.*Update* we got the results and are thrilled!

Quick results and a complex, but interesting process I recommend.

Ordered this product and another, more expensive, brand to find out breed and medical genetic potential issues with my rescue puppy. This one came back with less specific results on the breed, but was much quicker in delivery of them. The majority of the info came back "mixed breed" and then very vague in what those mixed breeds could be. Gee, I could have guessed that info as well as the results!

it worked for my shelter pup

we got our shelter pup last october (2019) at the age of three. we knew he had some pit in him but no one seemed to agree on what else he was mixed with so we got this test. turns out he is 75% American Staffordshire Terrier (pit) and 12.5% American Bulldog. down side is there was another 12.5% that the test couldn't figure out so it had to be a mix prior to his great grandparents. it is nice enough to tell you what breed group that mix is made up of and on the site it gave us examples of dogs in that group to help us figure out what else he could be made up of.

My dog is a what???

It has been long established that my rescue (got him at 14 weeks) is a Flat Coated Retriever (mostly). Vets, groomers, other Flattie owners blurt it out unprompted. But there is something else in him so I got this test. Imagine my surprise when the results came back as: American Staffordshire Terrier / Chow Chow / Cocker Spaniel / Labrador Retriever / Siberian Husky Mix! Huh? They may as well have said my dog was a cat! Where was the Flat Coated Retriever dna? Not even a molecule? This couldn't be right. For one brief moment I actually stopped loving him! My boy was a Pit Bull?
